BACKGROUND: On September 14 2005 the Planning Commission recommended the conditional approval of Tentative Tract Map No. 63006 and on November 28 2005 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2005 R087 conditionally approving Tentative Map No. 63006 for a period of three years. DISCUSSION: The project allows for the conversion of an existing two story 25 969 square foot commercial and live/work building into nine air space condominium units consisting of seven live/work condominium units and two commercial condominium units at 8601 8633 Washington Boulevard. The construction of the project is complete and a final Certificate of Occupancy was issued on June 22 2006. Prior to the sale of any condominium unit the tract map must be recorded with the Los Angeles County Recorder and final clearances received from all affected City Departments. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has reviewed the tract map and found it to be technically correct and in compliance with the Subdivision Map Act.
