RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission schedule a PRCS Commission tour of Culver City parks and facilities.
BACKGROUND
Each year, one or more PRCS Department staff members accompanies the members of the Commission on a tour of Culver City parks and facilities. The most recent Parks Tour was held on Saturday, September 26, 2015. City Council members, the City Manager and Culver City School District representatives are usually invited to join the Commission on these tours. On behalf of the Commission, staff will invite all of these parties again this year. During a typical Parks Tour, staff engages in a dialogue with tour participants, takes them to sites of recent and upcoming capital improvement projects and provides information regarding a variety of issues relating to Culver City parks and facilities.
DISCUSSION
This year, staff will be available to accompany the Commission on a Parks Tour beginning at 9:00 a.m., on any one of the following dates, all of which fall on a Saturday:
* August 13th
* October 8th
* October 22nd
* October 29th
