RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) discuss a biennial report to submit to the City Council of Committee activities and authorize transmittal to City Council.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
In the recently revised Section VI. of the Comprehensive City Council Policy entitled City Commissions, Boards and Committees; Appointed Representatives to Outside Agencies and Boards, the requirement for CBC reporting has been updated to state "periodically, but no less than biannually, each CBC shall submit to the City Council a written report on their respective activities."
In order to facilitate this revision, the City Clerk's Office will be establishing a consolidated report of all CBCs for transmission to the City Council in an upcoming meeting in April/May 2020 which will capture all activities through January - December 2019. While the FAC has been in compliance with this policy on a quarterly basis since March 2019 and may reference past reporting, Staff recommends the Committee discuss its biannual reporting and, if desired, authorize for transmittal to the City Council.
