RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) 1) receive an update from the Community Contributes Ad Hoc Subcommittee about the EHRAC Awards Medallions, 2) determine next steps, and 3) provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the March 28, 2023, meeting, the Community Contributions Ad hoc Subcommittee achieved consensus to agendize this item for discussion at the April 25, 2023, meeting. At the March meeting, the Subcommittee reported on the nominations, explained the subcommittee's decision-making process, and presented the names of the awardees with a short description of their contributions to the community. The full Committee approved the recommendations of the designated nominees to the City Council for receipt of the awards. Staff informed the Committee that the awards presentation will take place at the May 22 City Council meeting.
At the April 25, 2023, meeting, the Subcommittee will share an update on the EHRAC Award medallions.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There are no costs associated with discussion of this item. There will be costs to manufacture the medallions.
