RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission receive and file the report regarding PRCS activities during Older Americans Month. 

 

 

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

 

In Culver City, Older Americans Month occurs during the month of May and is a time for the City to celebrate and recognize contributions of older adults.  The PRCS Department hosts multiple events and activities to honor the month.  This year’s theme was “Flip the Script on Aging.”  The PRCS Director has scheduled this report to the PRCS Commission as an informational item updating the PRCS Commissioners on the department’s activities and events during Older Americans Month.

 

The report will be presented by Recreation and Community Services Coordinator Nancy Ruvalcaba.
