BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
This training will be presented by the City of Culver City Human Resources Department and facilitated by Right to Be. The 90-minute training will include a question-and-answer session immediately following the presentation of the material:
• In this training, the goal is to give participants the tools to safely and effectively intervene when they witness harassment in public spaces.
• Participants will be equipped with the right information on how to be an effective bystander in the midst of public space harassment using Right to Be’s proven 5Ds methodology.
• Participants will practice so they may leave the training feeling more prepared to successfully and safely intervene.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
Fees are incurred by the Human Resources Department for the facilitator - Right to Be and snacks. The event will have no direct impact on the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee’s Budget.
