Nachbar (04/16/14) Action Item: City of Culver City California Agenda Item Report RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution approving Culver City s participation in the Los Angeles Urban County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for Fiscal Years (FY) 2014/2015 through 2017/2018 and a related Cooperation Agreement. . BACKGROUND: The 1974 Housing Act authorized the allocation of block grants to eligible applicant municipalities nationwide to be used for activities that benefit low and moderate income persons subject to program regulations and eligibility criteria. Culver City participates in the CDBG program as a member of the Los Angeles Urban County Entitlement and to date has completed thirty nine (39) application cycles.
