Herbertson (9/28/06) City Controller Approval: Marlee Chang (10/2/06) City Manager Approval: Jerry Fulwood (10/3/06) RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends City Council accept the work performed by the contractor Terno Inc and authorize filing a Notice of Completion for the Krueger and Lindblade (Street) Streetlight Project P 652 and P 684. It is also recommended that retention funds in the amount of $33 657.30 be released to the contractor after the thirty five day lien period. BACKGROUND: On April 17 2006 to Terno Inc. for the Krueger and Lindblade (Street) Streetlight Improvement Project P 652 & 684. The existing streetlight system was identified as a priority for replacement and upgrade. The project was funded by State Gas Tax funds. the City Council awarded a construction contract Terno Inc. successfully completed the work as required in the contract. The scope of work along Krueger Street consisted of the removal and replacement of the existing streetlights with one (1) 25 foot high Cobra head streetlight at the street terminus; and fourteen (14) 11 foot high traditional marberlite standards with acorn lamps.
