Fulwood (03/12/08) RECOMMENDATION: The Economic Development Subcommittee and staff recommend the City Council approve in concept the creation of the Fox Hills Neighborhood Development and Traffic Study Area and provide direction to staff to prepare a related Request for Proposals ( RFP ). BACKGROUND: On February 11 2008 the City Council unanimously authorized the City s participation in the Regional Development and Traffic Mitigation Working Group and assigned the issues of regional development and traffic mitigation to the Economic Development Subcommittee (Councilmembers Malsin and Rose). The Subcommittee met to discuss these two issues on March 11 2008. After significant discussion the Subcommittee proposed creation of a Fox Hills Neighborhood Development and Traffic Study Area as a pilot program to evaluate traffic and development issues in this neighborhood propose various traffic mitigation projects and consider the viability of potential funding mechanisms for those projects in the Fox Hills Neighborhood and the broader west sid...
