(Budget Session) The meeting of the City Council was called to order at 6:00 P.M. Present: Mayor Gary Silbiger Vice Mayor Alan Corlin Counoilmember Carol Gross Councilmember D. Scott Malsin Councilmember Steven Rose Invocation/Pledge of Allegiance o0o The Invocation was given by Jerry Fulwood Chief Administrative Officer and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Kelly Fritzel Redevelopment Agency. o0o Public Comment for Items Not on the Agenda Mayor Silbiger invited public participation. There was no response. o0 o Action Items June 13 2006 Item A 1 Budget Study Session Proposed Fiscal Year 2006/2007 Budget; Information Technology Community Development and City Council Work Plan. Department reviews commenced: Information Technology: John Richo Information Technology Director gave the budget overview. Mr. Richo reviewed the divisions of Information Technology which include Technical Services Graphic Services and Systems Development. Michele Seals Systems Development Manager discussed the Accounting Automation project. Mr. Richo discussed the proposed Citizen Relation Management project which uses software in City departments to track customer inquiries and complaints; wireless access to the Council Chambers; digitizing Personnel records and development of a web site for Economic Development. Discussion ensued regarding increase in copying costs; feasibility of placing zoning information on the web site to help new businesses; how wireless internet access (Wi Fl) may affect the City's Utility User Tax; and how to integrate all of Accounts Receivables located in different departments.
