RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that City Council approve a general services agreement with United Site Services in an amount not to exceed $89,572.75 for three years, with two optional one-year extensions, to provide portable restrooms, handwashing stations, three-compartment sinks, and fencing services for Fiesta La Ballona.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

On January 8, 2026, the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services released RFP #2648 to provide restroom and fencing services for Fiesta La Ballona. The contractor shall provide all portable restrooms, handwashing stations, three-compartment sinks, and fencing services for the event. The contractor shall finish installation by Wednesday prior to the event and shall complete tear down and pick-up no later than 10:00 PM on the Monday following the event. The contractor shall also pay the City for any broken irrigation lines or damage caused by the installation and/or removal of the contractor's equipment.

This year will mark the 75th Anniversary of Fiesta La Ballona and is scheduled to take place across three days, August 21, 2026 - August 24, 2026. The three-year total amount includes a contingency to allow for additional services during this year...
