Nachbar (10/20/10) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Culver City Redevelopment Agency Board (Agency Board) approve plans and specifications and authorize the advertisement of bids for the Sepulveda Boulevard MTA Grant Project (Project). BACKGROUND: On August 23 2010 the Agency Board approved conceptual design plans for the Project. During the same meeting the City Council approved an amendment to the Street Tree Master Plan to plant London Plane and White Orchid trees along Sepulveda Boulevard between the Culver Boulevard intersection and the city limit line south of Franklin Avenue (Attachment No. 1). DISCUSSION: The design of the Project is consistent with the grant application scope of work which proposed to improve pedestrian conditions along the specified section of Sepulveda Boulevard.
