RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution calling and giving notice of the
holding of a General Municipal Election to be held on April 8, 2008.
BACKGROUND:
Under provisions of the Charter of the City of Culver City, a Regular General
Municipal Election shall be held on the 8
th
day of April 2008, for the election of three
(3) Members of the City Council of said City for the full term of four (4) years.
The City Council will consider taking an action at the Council Meeting of December
3, 2007 to place a measure relating to modernization of the City’s existing utility
users’ tax ordinance on the ballot for the 2008 General Municipal Election.
Please note that this resolution also seeks to designate the Deputy City Clerk as the
Elections Official for the April 8, 2008 election. This is being done due to the fact
that the City Clerk has declared his candidacy for a City Council seat in the 2008
election.

budget is $80,000.00.
