RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board receive
presentations on the City Manager’s/Executive Director’s Proposed Budget for Fiscal
Year 2011/2012 for the City Council, City Manager’s Office, City Clerk’s Office, City
Attorney’s Office, Information Technology Department, Human Resources
Department, Finance Department, Transportation Department and Parks,
Recreation and Community Services Department (scheduled for consideration on
June 6, 2011); and the Fire Department, Police Department, Community
Development Department [including the Redevelopment Agency], and Public Works
Department [including Capital Improvement Projects] (Scheduled to be Considered
on June 7, 2011) .
Staff shall request the City Council and Agency Board adjourn this meeting to 5:00 PM
on June 7, 2011 for the purposes of holding closed sessions and, no earlier than 6:00
PM, to consider the presentations of the Fire Department, Police Department,
Community Development Department (including the Redevelopment Agency) and
Public Works Department (including Capital Improvement Projects)

DISCUSSION:
The City Manager/Executive Director transmitted his Proposed Budget for Fiscal
Year 2011/2012 to the City Council on Monday, May 9, 2011. Tonight, the City
Manager/Executive Director, as supported by the Department Heads, will give a
presentation to the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board related to the
Proposed Budget for the Departments and Offices noted above.
MOTION:
That the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board:
1. Receive a presentation from the City Manager/Executive Director, Assistant
City Manager/City Clerk, City Attorney, Chief Information Officer, Director of
Human Resources, Chief Financial Officer, Transportation Director and Parks,
Recreation and Community Services Director related to the City
Manager/Executive Director’s Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2011/2012 and
direct the City Manager/Executive Director as deemed appropriate; and,
2. Upon conclusion of the remainder of business on the Agenda this evening,
adjourn the meeting of the City Council and the Agency Board to 5:00 PM to
consider closed session items and, no earlier than 6:00 PM, to consider the
presentations of the Fire Department, Police Department, Community
Development Department (including the Redevelopment Agency) and Public
Works Department (including Capital Improvement Projects)
