RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council approve the final plans and specifications and
authorize the publication of a notice inviting bids for the Residential Overlay Project,
P-863, P-903.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Per the pavement management system recommendation and visual observation,
staff has selected streets to be re-paved with new asphalt. The scope of work
consists of replacing two inches of deteriorated asphalt concrete with new
rubberized asphalt concrete. Additionally, curb and gutter will be replaced where
necessary. The following streets are scheduled for resurfacing:
1. La Salle Avenue between Braddock and Farragut Drives
2. Madison Avenue between Braddock and Farragut Drives
3. Baldwin Avenue between Farragut Drive and end
4. Keystone Avenue between (Farragut Drive and Le Bourget)
5. Mentone Avenue between Farragut Drive and Le Bourget
6. Farragut Drive between Overland Avenue and Elenda Street
7. Franklin Drive between Overland Avenue and Elenda Street
8. Commonwealth Avenue between Garfield Avenue and Farragut Drive
9. Commonwealth Circle
10. Garfield Avenue between Harter and Commonwealth Avenues
11. Franklin Avenue between Harter and Commonwealth Avenues
12. Farragut Drive between Harter and Commonwealth Avenues
13. Cranks Road between Hill and Tellefson Roads
