RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) 1) discuss the creation of a Transgender Day of Remembrance Ad Hoc Subcommittee to plan the Transgender Day of Remembrance Event on November 15, 2022; 2) (if desired) form a Transgender Day of Remembrance Ad Hoc Subcommittee and appoint members thereto; 3) provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION
At the September 27, 2022 meeting, Chair Valverde achieved consensus to agendize this item for discussion at the special October 11, 2022 EHRAC meeting. Once the Ad Hoc Subcommittee is formed, members would convene to discuss, develop, and plan the Transgender Day of Remembrance Event To take place on November 15, 2022. The Ad Hoc Subcommittee will present a report to the full Committee at the regular October 25, 2022 meeting.

There is no fiscal impact associated with discussing this item. Future associated costs could include printing and staff time.
