RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Committee: (1) discuss the report from the Community Contributions Ad Hoc Subcommittee on talking points for EHRAC’S Community Contributions Award for members to publicly use when soliciting nominations for the award; and (2) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the July 27, 2021 regular meeting, Chair Rebecca Rona made a motion to agendize this item on the August 24, 2021 regular meeting agenda. Chair Rona addressed that nominations for the Community Contributions award will begin in September 2021.
Chair Rona addressed that Committee members will be called upon to begin encouraging nominations for EHRAC’S Community Contributions award. Committee members will be asked to approach Culver City residents, Culver City businesses, and non-profit organizations located in Culver City to encourage nominations in receiving EHRAC’s Community Contributions award.
Member Di Vincente will be discussing these talking points during the August 24, 2021 meeting for Committee members to use while soliciting nominations for the award and approaching Culver City residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations. The purpose of these talking points is for Committee members to understand and explain EHRAC’s Community Contributions award and encouraging nominations.
