BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On July 26, 2010, the City Council awarded a contract to Wright Line, LLC for the
installation of a communications console system in the Dispatch Center of the Police
Department. The project consisted of removing the outdated and aging terminals
and the installation of new, more efficient consoles. The new consoles have a
longer life expectancy and provide the tools needed for a more efficient and
organized dispatch center to meet the increasing workload of the Police/Fire
Department’s 9-1-1 Dispatch Center. A total of four dispatch console positions were
removed and replaced.
The project has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications.
There is a lifetime warranty on all steel and laminate surfaces with the exception of
lifting mechanisms. The console systems have been in operation since last month. City of Culver City, California
