Commendation to Sandy Brice, outgoing Executive Director of the Downtown Business Association.

COMMENDATION
Sandy Brice
WHEREAS, the Culver City Downtown Business Association, after several years of steady management by its Board of
Directors, determined to hire a person who could dedicate additional time to the management of the Association as the Association
expanded and prospered; and
WHEREAS, the Board appointed Sandy Brice over three years ago as the Association’s first Executive Director; and,
WHEREAS, although the position of Executive Director was meant to be part-time, Ms. Brice always dedicated herself
full-time to the mission of promoting and improving the effectiveness of the Association ; and
WHEREAS, some of the many recent accomplishments of the Association, such as the annual Car Show and the
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, are a direct result of her steadfast efforts to improve the marketing, promotions, and special
events of the Association and its downtown business members; and
WHEREAS, her dedication to the Downtown Business Association and its members was so strong that she selflessly
converted portions of her Culver City home into her unofficial office until the recent finding of formal office space in the downtown
area; and,
WHEREAS, as a direct result of Ms. Brice’s positive personality, strong work ethic, and business-supportive attitude, Ms.
Brice’s tenure as Executive director has been highlighted by increased cooperation between and among the downtown businesses, City
Hall, and surrounding business organizations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Culver City, California
commends Sandy Brice for her dedicated and tireless service to the Downtown Business Association and its members and sincerely
thanks her for helping make Culver City’s Downtown a desirable destination for the businesses’ patrons.
