RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) (1) approve a letter from the DAC to the Culver City Julian Dixon Library; and (2) authorize transmittal of the letter to the Culver City Julian Dixon Library.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On October 11, 2023, the DAC expressed interest in drafting a letter to the manager of the Culver City Julian Dixon Library thanking them for supporting a month-long Disability Awareness Month display at their location. In addition to providing a space for the display, the library also provided materials and resources. After some discussion, the DAC selected Committee Member Marcy Sookne to write a draft thank you letter and agendized the committee’s review and approval of the letter. Staff have prepared this report to give the committee an opportunity to review the draft letter and make comments and updates, if any. A draft version of the letter is provided with this report as Attachment 1.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this discussion.
