City Attorney Approval: N/A Chief Financial Officer Approval: N/A City Manager Approval: N/A RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission receive information regarding the Abraxis Project, located at 9920 Jefferson Boulevard in Culver City. BACKGROUND: At the February 1, 2011 Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission meeting, there was consensus that an item relating to the Abraxis Project, located at 9920 Jefferson Boulevard in Culver City, be placed on this evening’s Agenda. The request was for information regarding the project, which is under the purview of the Community Development Department. Specifically, the Commission expressed interest in knowing more about the results of the Project’s traffic study and the general issue of commercial vehicles in the Park. In addition, it was asked that representatives from both Abraxis and Community Development be invited to attend the meeting. DISCUSSION: This Agenda Item has been prepared to give the PRCS Commission an opportunity to receive information and ask questions regarding the Abraxis Project. The Public Works Director/City Engineer is present to speak about the results of the Project’s traffic study and the general issue of commercial vehicles in the Park. Representatives from the Community Development Department and Abraxis have been invited to attend the meeting.
