City Council Agenda Item Report
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council consider a recommendation from the Agenda
Formatting Subcommittee concerning items related to the City Manager and reports
from Councilmembers on committee meetings attended and direct staff as deemed
appropriate.
BACKGROUND:
On October 16, 2006, the Agenda Formatting Subcommittee (Councilmembers
Gross and Rose) met to discuss two items referred to it by the City Council on
September 11, 2006. The two items are:
(1) The insertion of the City Manager’s name on Page 1 of the agenda; and,
(2) The inclusion of an item entitled “CITY COUNCILMEMBERS REPORTS ON
COMMITTEE MEETINGS ATTENDED.”
DISCUSSION:
At their meeting of October 16, 2006, the Agenda Formatting Subcommittee made
the following recommendations:
(1) Insertion of the City Manager’s name on Page 1 – Recommended APPROVAL
(2) Inclusion of an item entitled: “CITY COUNCILMEMBERS REPORTS ON
COMMITTEE MEETINGS ATTENDED” – Recommended Councilmembers
could discuss these items under the current title “ITEMS FROM COUNCIL”
and recommended the Agenda not be amended for this item.
