RECOMMENDATION

Staff will present updates on the Comprehensive Mobility Services Plan (CMSP). Members may discuss and provide input.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

The Comprehensive Mobility Services Plan (CMSP) is a project to develop Short and Long-Term Plans for Culver CityBus service as well as currently operating and proposed mobility services. These plans will help guide City of Culver City Transportation Department and Culver CityBus on how to utilize the limited existing and future resources, such as vehicles, and provide the maximum positive impact for riders and regional transit network.

The CMSP has had numerous touchpoints with members of the public over its project lifetime. The initiative “Culver City Your Way” is our community engagement efforts that fall under the CMSP. Through Culver City Your Way, City Staff have engaged community members through several virtual and in-person town halls, focus groups, pop-ups events, and surveys. This input, as well as Bus Operator feedback, have helped shape the priorities of the CMSP.

Currently, the Project Team are developing financial, infrastructure, and equity analyses, as well as recommendations for modes beyond the fixed-route network with respect to recommendations presented in late-2025 and expanded upon in Spring 2026. These plans and analyses will be developed into draft form before a final round of community engagement. This engagement is currently slated for late-2026.

Culver City staff will provide BPAC, City Council, and the communities in and around the Culver CityBus service area with future updates as they arise.
