RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC): (1) review and discuss the report and recommendations in the Event Checklist submitted by the Communications and Outreach Ad Hoc Subcommittee: (2) (if desired) provide further direction to the Communications and Outreach Ad Hoc Subcommittee to develop additional information on Events Logistics, a Marketing, Event Media Kit, and Participation Improvement Checklist; and (3) Provide direction to Staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
EHRAC has requested a discussion regarding development of a logistics, marketing, event media kit and participation improvement check list and/or plan for consideration when planning special events. The Communications and Outreach Ad hoc Subcommittee has provided a preliminary checklist on best practices to conduct successful events (Attachment 1).
