The FSP program requires participating organization’s to renew their eligibility every three years. Currently the City’s eligibility to participate has expired. DISCUSSION: Recreation staff is attempting to obtain free equipment and furniture for the newly remodeled Teen Center. The FSP program is a potential donor but requires a current application along with a resolution adopted by the organization’s governing board. As a result, staff is requesting that the City Council approve the resolution in order to renew the City’s eligibility for the FSP program. It is proposed to have representatives from the CAO’s Office, Police, Fire, Recreation, Public Works and Community Development Departments sign the application so staff from different departments will be allowed access to view available FSP surplus property.
