Culver City Park – GENERAL
Parks & Playgrounds Programs:
• All week – Carrom games; equipment

Comments regarding Culver City Park:
• The Irrigation System requires constant
maintenance/repair and needs
significant upgrades due to age and
being located on a landfill site.
• Public Works/Engineering has
completed the design and bidding to
replace and upgrade the Booster Pump
this fiscal year. Project has been
awarded and will start construction in
November 2011.
• The Calsense upgrades project has
been designed, bid and awarded and
managed by Parks Division.
Construction will start in November
2011 and is a part of the ongoing AB-
1881 upgrades in the parks.
SKATE PARK*
Parks & Playgrounds Programs:
• All week – Skate Park supervision
Accomplishments:
• Prop A Funded Fence Replacement
PW Commitment - CIP (funded):
• Public Works/Engineering to install
drinking fountain and ADA Path.
PLAYGROUND

Playground – New Play Equipment /
Wood Fiber Surfacing / Sand Play
Area. Project is designed and Council
recently approved the project going out
to bid. Estimated project completion
date of April 2012. Project Managed by
Parks Division.
DOG PARK
Accomplishments:
• Park has been completely restored
after the PXP well abandonment
project.
• 2006-2010: Prop A Funded Phase II
o Shade Structures
o Irrigation/Drainage/DG
o Landscaping/Signage
o Water Fountains
o Storage Container
o The Friends of the Culver City
Dog Park supplied the labor and
Prop A supplied the materials to
build a much-needed retaining
wall for erosion control

• Park Enhancement Projects (PEP’s)
are done at this location.
• The Friends of the Culver City Dog
Park funded Phase I and continues
to support the Park through
fundraising and volunteerism. They
hold an Annual Dog Park Clean-up
and fund amenities on an ongoing
basis.
• The Friends of the Culver City Dog
Park are working in partnership with
Public Works and Parks Division to
raise funds to design and install
lighting at the Dog Park.

AQMD GRANT SITES
