RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board receive a
presentation from the City Manager/Executive Director related to a Program by
Program Workplan review and direct staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND
On October 12, 2009, the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board received
a presentation from the City Manager/Executive Director related to an overview of
the City’s and Agency’s current budget challenges, including a discussion of current
revenue sources. At that time, the City Manager/Executive Director informed the
City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board of his intent to make further
presentations to the City Council and Board on this topic.
On October 19, 2009, the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board received
the first part of the City Manager/Executive Director’s presentation. This item will
continue that presentation.

This evening, the City Manager will facilitate a discussion of the many programs and
workplan items provided as services to the residential and business communities of
Culver City. These presentations will focus primarily on workplan items that can
achieve cost savings through increased efficiency, variance in service levels, or
some combination of both.
The City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board will be asked to provide staff
with direction on areas where the City Council and Board would like additional
information on the ideas proposed.
Each of the presentations will be orally presented. There may be some written or
projected materials used during the meeting. Those materials will be made available
on Monday evening during the meeting.
FISCAL ANALYSIS:
There is no fiscal impact associated with receiving these Program-by-Program
Workplan Reviews.

Receive a presentation from the City Manager/Executive Director related to a
