RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt the proposed Ordinance repealing and replacing Chapter 9.01 of Title 9 of the Culver City Municipal Code, “Animals and Fowl”; and adopting by reference Los Angeles County Code Title 10 “Animals,” with amendments.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At its meeting of July 10, 2017, the City Council (by a vote of 5-0) introduced, for first reading, an Ordinance repealing and replacing Chapter 9.01 of Title 9 of the Culver City Municipal Code, “Animals and Fowl”; and adopting by reference Los Angeles County Code Title 10 “Animals,” with amendments, with the exception of Section 9.01.040, which was introduced by Council by a vote of 4-0, with Council Member Meghan Sahli-Wells recusing herself.
The Ordinance is presented this evening for adoption.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There is no direct impact associated with repealing and replacing Chapter 9.01 of Title 9 of the Culver City Municipal Code, “Animals and Fowl” and adopting by reference Los Angeles County Code Title 10 “Animals”, with amendments.
