BACKGROUND
Each of the City’s commissions, boards, and committees are annually requested to provide input related to the City’s proposed work plans and budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
• The deadline for department submission of work plans for the FY 2025-26 (07/01/2025 - 06/30/2026) will be in February 2025.
• City Council will receive individual department presentations regarding the status of the current year’s work plan highlights and the proposed FY 2025-26 work plan highlights March 3-5, 2025.
• City Council will receive individual department presentations regarding the Proposed FY 2025-26 Budget May 19-20, 2025.
• City Council will receive the Draft FY 2025-26 Budget in late May/early June and adopt the Final Budget June 23, 2025.
• The final draft of work plan highlights will be included in the FY 2025-26 City Budget Book.
DISCUSSION
Staff will provide status updates regarding the Public Works Department FY 2024-25 mobility-related projects. Staff will further provide information about mobility-related projects under consideration for FY 2025-26.
Committee members will receive the staff presentation and may discuss and provide staff with comments regarding current and proposed projects.
FISCAL IMPACT
Projects continuing from FY 2024-25 and proposed for FY 2025-26 will have a significant fiscal impact on both the City’s General Fund and CIP budgets. All projects proposed by staff may or may not be funded, in whole or in part, in the FY 2025-26 Final Budget.
