City of Culver City, California City Council Agenda Item Report RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Council approve Resolution R____, which amends existing Resolution No. 2005-R068, previously adopted by the Council on October 10, 2005, to accept reimbursable grant funds from the State Water Resources Control Board for the Culver City Citywide Best Management Practice (BMP) Treatment Train Project. BACKGROUND: On October 10, 2005, the City Council approved Resolution No. 2005-R068, accepting reimbursable grant funds from the State Water Resources Control Board for the Culver City Citywide Best Management Practice (BMP) Treatment Train Project. Staff has been working with the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) staff to finalize the scope of work, which is necessary to complete and enter into the contract with the SWRCB for the above award. Prior to finalizing the contract, the SWRCB has indicated that several minor amendments to the existing Resolution No. 2005-R068 are necessary, as follows: Change ‘authorize and direct the Chief Administrative Officer, or designee, as agent of the City of Culver City to execute and submit all documents which may be necessary for the completion of the grant award process’ to ‘authorize and direct the City Manager, or designee, as agent of the City of Culver City to execute, submit, and amend all documents, which may be necessary for the completion of the grant award process’— to reflect the organizational change that the City has recently undergone, and to provide the City Manager with the authority to amend the contract, if necessary; and Meeting Date: 9/25/06 Item Number: C-4 AGENDA ITEM: Adoption of a Resolution R___, Amending Resolution No. 2005- R068, Adopted by the City Council on October 10 th , 2005, Accepting Grant Funds from the State Water Resources Control Board for the Culver City Citywide BMP Treatment “Train” Project Contact Person: Cathy Chang/PW Phone Number: (310) 253-5619 Fiscal Impact: Yes [] No [X] General Fund: Yes [] No [X] Public Hearing: [] Action Item: [] Attachments: [X] Public Notification: Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission and State Water Resources Control Board by e-mail on September 7, 2006; Master Notification List (09/20/2006) Department Approval: Charles D.
