Commission review and discuss upcoming agenda items to be considered by the
Commission and its Subcommittees and make recommendations as deemed
appropriate.
BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION:
At the Commission’s request, staff has prepared this report as a recurring agenda
item to give the Commissioners an opportunity review and discuss agenda items for
the upcoming 90 days, make any necessary agenda or meeting scheduling
adjustments and agendize additional items for future Commission meetings.
Issues and items for Commission consideration may be generated through many
sources including the public, staff, the Commission and its Subcommittees and
Council Advisory Committees and by direction or action of the City Council. At
Commission meetings, information is generally conveyed to the Commission through
Public Comment, Consent Calendar Items, Action Items, Items from Staff and
Information Items. All of these types of communications between the Commission,
the public, staff and the City Council that enable the Commission to fulfill its mission
may be included in this evening’s discussion.
A list of upcoming agenda items is provided as Attachment A. Included in this list
are dates which items from the Parks, Recreation and Community Services
Department are currently scheduled for consideration by the City Council. It should
be noted that due to the interactive nature of municipal government, this list is both
tentative and dynamic. City of Culver City, California
Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission Agenda Item Report
Since Attachment A includes both upcoming Commission and Council agenda items,
it replaces the “Items from Staff” memo, “Tentative List of Upcoming PRCS City
Council Agenda Items” that was formerly routinely included in the Commission
packets. It is hoped that integrating Commission and Council items on the same list
will assist the members of the Commission by giving them both a more
comprehensive view and a better summary of upcoming agenda items.
FISCAL ANALYSIS:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the discussion of this agenda item.
