RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC): 1) discuss a report from the Communications Ad Hoc Subcommittee and a proposal to purchase a Canva account; 2) consider approval of a recommendation that staff purchase a Canva subscription for EHRAC use; 3) determine next steps; and 4) provide direction to staff as deemed appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the September meeting, an Ad Hoc Communications Subcommittee was created to design flyers for public events and to assemble a list of individuals and various organizations and clubs throughout Culver City. This list would be beneficial to the EHRAC in promoting educational materials, flyers, pamphlets, etc. relating to equity and human relations topics and potentially assist the EHRAC in outreach when requesting public input during regular or special EHRAC meetings.
At the December 13, 2022 special meeting, EHRAC will receive a report from the subcommittee and staff will consider the recommendation for the purchase an annual Canva account for EHRAC use.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There are no fiscal costs associated with discussion of this item. Should the committee approve the purchase of a Canva account, the subscription level (for use by multiple people) could cost up to $150 per year.
