City of Culver City, California City Council Agenda Item Report RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council receive an overview presentation on the Fiscal Years 2008-09 & 2009-10 Proposed Budget from the Public Works Department, including Sewer and Refuse operations, as well as the Capital Improvement Plan. DISCUSSION: This first budget study session of the Fiscal Years 2008-09 and 2009-10 Proposed Budget occurred on May 5 th . The Chief Financial Officer gave a presentation to City Council which included a discussion of current economic conditions and provided financial highlights for the City’s major funds. There were also presentations given for the City Manager’s Office, the City Clerk’s Office and Risk Management. On May 12, 2008, the City Council received presentations from the Police Department and the Fire Department. This evening the Public Works Department will provide presentations of their budget proposals. MOTION: That the City Council: Receive a presentation from the Public Works Department, including Sewer and Refuse operations, as well as the Capital Improvement Plan.
