RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS)
Commission review 2010 schedule of Commission meetings.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
It is customary for the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission to
set the meeting schedule for the next calendar year at its July meeting and to review
that schedule once again during the first meeting of the New Year. At the July 7,
2009 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, after considering scheduling
conflicts due to legal or religious holidays and/or the unavailability of the Council
Chambers, the Commission approved the following list of scheduled meetings for
2010:
The schedule below reflects the few conflicts on the first Tuesday of the month with
legal or religious holidays, as well as election days, that would affect the
Commission’s regular schedule of meetings. Tuesday, April 6

This schedule indicates that PRCS Commission meetings will be held on the first
Tuesday of each month, with exceptions for April, July, September and November.
Unless special arrangements are made due to extenuating circumstances, all
meetings in calendar year 2010 are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Mike
Balkman Council Chambers at City Hall.
In reviewing the 2010 schedule of meetings, staff requests that the Commission
propose alternate dates if there are any previously unforeseen scheduling conflicts.
A list of 2010 Federal and City of Culver City Holidays (Attachment A) and a 2010
Interfaith Calendar (Attachment B) have been provided for reference.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this agenda item.

2. If all scheduled dates are satisfactory, receive and file the report;
