RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council approve the submittal of a grant application to
the Area Agency on Aging for the renewal of the Senior Nutrition Grant for Fiscal
Year 2006-2007.
BACKGROUND:
This will be the 31st annual re-authorization of the funding of the Senior Nutrition
Program through the Area Agency on Aging. This grant provides for meals for
seniors throughout the week at the Culver City Senior Center and for the Home
Delivered Meal Program.
The funding for the Nutrition Grant comes from the Area Agency on Aging and
requires annual re-application for funding.
FISCAL ANALYSIS:
The Senior Nutrition Program is grant funded through the Older Americans Act in the
amount of $120,299 and has no fiscal impact on the General Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMISSION OF A PROPOSAL AND THE SIGNING OF A
CONTRACT FOR PROVIDING SERVICES FOR THE SENIOR
CMZENS NUTRMON GRANT FOR PROVIDING SERVICES
FOR ELDERLY PERSONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007
WHEREAS the County of Los Angeles Community and Senior Services has been
awarded the funds for providing services for the elderly under the Older Amencans Act, and
WHEREAS, the City of Culver City wishes to apply for Title III funds in order to
administer said services, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Culver City designate and authonze a
representative to sign the contract for Older American Act funds on behalf of the City Council
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Culver City, California
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE as follows|109| Approve the submission of a proposal and Older American Act funds for
fiscal year 2006-2007,|109| Designate the Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Culver City or
