Asphalt to construct the Sherbourne Drive Street Resurfacing Project, P-955, CDBG
#601392-11.
The Sherbourne Drive Street Resurfacing Project consisted of cold milling two-
inches of the deteriorated roadway pavement and overlying two-inches of new
asphalt concrete from Washington Boulevard to the end of the cul-de-sac. The work
was successfully completed on time and under budget.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Project Budget
P-955 CDBG Funds (42800955) $ 42,346.00
P-863 General Funds (42000863) $ 65,000.00
Available Funds $107,346.00
Final Project Expenses
Original Construction Contract $ 87,500.00
Actual Construction Cost $ 60,784.01
Subtotal $ 60,784.01
Construction Inspection Services $ 4,940.00
Geotechnical Construction Services (Observation &
Testing)
$ 1,635.00
Total Estimated Project Expenses $67,359.01
The original contract included removal and reconstruction of localized pavement
sections in the amount of $24,250. However, after the cold milling process was
completed it was determined that the underlying pavement was in good condition
and did not need to be reconstructed. Also, the estimated quantities for cold milling
and asphalt concrete in the contract were slightly higher than the final actual
quantities and resulted in a $2,465.99 savings.
The unspent funds will remain in Residential Pavement Program, P-863.
