RECOMMENDATION
The FAC should consider appointing additional members to the following ad hoc subcommittees: Assets Ad Hoc Subcommittee, Structural Revenue Review Ad Hoc Subcommittee, Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Committee, and the 2024 Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
At the February 14, 2024 Regular Meeting, the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) welcomed two new members. With the new Committee members in place, eight of the nine Committee seats are currently filled. The only vacancy that remains at this time is the position reserved for a representative from the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD). CCUSD has been notified and the City is waiting for the CCUSD Board to make its appointment.
The FAC currently has several Ad Hoc Subcommittee dedicated to specific topics and tasks. Each FAC Ad Hoc Subcommittee may have up to four members. The resignation of previous FAC members left vacancies on several of the FAC Ad Hoc Subcommittees. Below is a list of the FAC’s current Ad Hoc Subcommittees and their current members.
• Assets Ad Hoc Subcommittee
o Members: Bauer, Griffing, Lachoff
• Structural Revenue Review Ad Hoc Subcommittee
o Members: Bauer, Jones, Lachman
• Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Subcommittee
o Members: Bauer, Lachman
• 2024 Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee
o Members: Di Vincente, Griffing, Lachman
At this time, the Committee may appoint new members to the Assets Ad Hoc Subcommittee, Structural Revenue Review Ad Hoc Subcommittee, Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Committee, and the 2024 Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee, if desired.
