RECOMMENDATION

Staff will provide an update to BPAC regarding the Tri-School Area Mobility Study. The study is now in the second round of engagements during which the project team is presenting findings and collecting input on potential interventions. Members can discuss findings, ask questions, and provide input to staff regarding potential interventions. This meeting will also serve as another opportunity for community feedback.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

Culver City is continuing to study circulation and safety in the Tri-School Area. The Tri-School Area Mobility Study is an effort to assess the safety and efficiency of mobility in the area surrounding the Tri-Schools. The study aims to understand the transportation challenges community members face, gather input on potential solutions, and develop improvements that will make the neighborhood’s roadways safer and more comfortable for everyone.

During the first round of engagement, community members shared experiences and concerns about how people move through the Tri-School area and ideas about what could change or not in the future. Since then, the project team organized the responses, collected traffic data, and analyzed safety challenges.

The study is now in the second round of engagements during which the project team are presenting findings and collecting input on potential interventions.

Most recently, the City held a community workshop on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Senior Center, during which the project team presented what has been learned so far about congestion and circulation patterns, locations with recurring safety concerns or conflicts, and areas with opportunities for improvement. They further presented key insights from community feedback and data analysis, shared potential improvements to address key findings, and received feedback to help refine these potential improvements.
