RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends that the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) (1) receive a report from the 2025 Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee, (2) approve the list of nominees chosen by the Ad Hoc Subcommittee to receive the Fourth Annual Innovation Awards, and (3) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.

 

 

BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION

 

The 2025 Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee was established to continue to implement the City Innovation Award Program to encourage employees and/or departments to contribute towards increased efficiency, improved quality of life for Culver City residents, reduced costs and/or generated revenue, or to demonstrate distinguished performance based on department goals/outcome measures. The 2025 Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee is composed of Committee Member Di Vincente, Chair Lachman, Committee Member Rajiv, and Committee Member Thakur.

 

Applications for the City’s Third Annual Innovation Awards were due on May 1, 2025. The Subcommittee received 18 applications. The Ad Hoc Subcommittee members have reviewed all the applications received and will present a summary of the 2025 award process along with their recommendations for award recipients during the meeting.
