RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC): (1) receive the final report from the Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee for Fiscal Year 2023-2024; (2) dissolve the Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee for Fiscal Year 2023-2024; (3) form a new Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, if desired; and (4) appoint members to the 2025 Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee was established to research, implement, and continue a City Innovation Award Program to encourage employees and/or departments to contribute towards increased efficiency, improved quality of life for Culver City residents, reduced costs and/or generated revenue, or demonstrate distinguished performance based on department goals/outcome measures.
The Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee is currently comprised of Finance Advisory Committee Chair Lachman and members Di Vincente, Griffing, and Thakur.
On June 24, 2023, the Government Efficiency Ad Hoc Subcommittee presented the Third Annual Innovation Awards Ceremony, fulfilling its purpose. The Ad Hoc Subcommittee may thus be dissolved after providing a final report to the FAC on its work in Fiscal Year 2023-2024. It is recommended that a new ad hoc subcommittee be formed to carry the program into Fiscal Year 2024-2025.

That the FAC:
