BACKGROUND

Each of the City’s commissions, boards, and committees are annually requested to provide input related to the City’s proposed work plans and budget for the upcoming fiscal year. In past years, the budgeting schedule has run as described below but is subject to change.

The deadline for department submission of work plans for the next fiscal year is in February.

City Council receives individual department presentations regarding the status of the current year’s work plan highlights and the proposed next fiscal year work plan highlights in March.

City Council receives individual department presentations regarding the proposed next fiscal year budget in May.

City Council receives the draft of the next fiscal year budget in late May/early June.

City Council adopts the final next year budget in June.

DISCUSSION

Staff will provide status updates regarding the current fiscal year mobility-related projects and information about mobility-related projects under consideration for FY 2026-27. Committee members may discuss and provide staff with comments regarding current and proposed projects.
