RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council and Redevelopment Agency receive a
presentation on the Fiscal Years 2008-09 & 2009-10 Proposed Budget from the
Transportation Department, Community Development Department, and the
Redevelopment Agency.
DISCUSSION:
The first budget study session of the Fiscal Years 2008-09 and 2009-10 Proposed
Budget occurred on May 5
th
. The Chief Financial Officer gave a presentation to the
City Council/Redevelopment Agency which included a discussion of current
economic conditions and provided financial highlights for the City’s major funds.
Since then there have been two more Budget Study sessions held on May 12
th
and
May 13
th
. Presentations to date have been given for the City Manager’s Office, City
Clerk’s Office, Risk Management Division, Fire Department, Police Department,
Public Works Department (including Sewer and Sanitation Divisions, and Capital
Improvement Projects budget). This evening the Transportation Department,
Community Development Department, and Redevelopment Agency will provide
presentations of their budget proposals.
MOTION:
That the City Council and Redevelopment Agency:
Receive a presentation from the Transportation Department, Community
Development Department, and Redevelopment Agency.
