RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council adopt a resolution declaring the intention to order the
assessment levy for the Residential Sanitation Service Charge with a proposed six
percent (6%) increase for Fiscal Year July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007 and sets the
date, time and place of the Public Hearing.
FISCAL ANALYSIS:
The Residential Sanitation Service Charge budget is 100 percent self-supporting
for all expenditures related to the collection, operation & maintenance, capital
improvements, disposal and processing of the City’s residential refuse sanitation
needs. Property owners within the District are charged for their fair share of these
costs, as will be described in an Engineer’s Report.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CULVER
CITY, CALIFORNIA PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER
501 OF THE CULVER CITY MUNICIPAL CODE AND DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO ORDER THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENT LEVY FOR THE
RESIDENTIAL SANITATION USER SERVICE CHARGE ASSESSMENT
AND SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Culver City desires to conduct
proceedings for considenng the annual assessment of a benefit distnct pursuant to the
terms and provisions of Section 5 01 070 of Chapter 5 01 of the Culver City Municipal
Code, in what is known and designated as "A RESIDENTIAL SANITATION USER
SERVICE CHARGE", and
WHEREAS, these proceedings for the annual levy of assessments shall relate to
the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007, and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Culver City, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE as follows
1 The above recitals are all true and correct
2 The certain sanitation services are authonzed for Fiscal Year 2006-07
and are set forth to be presented to this City Council for consideration
3 The City of Culver City hereby declares its intention to levy the annual
assessment on the residents for this sanitation service for fiscal year 2006/2007
4 A Public Heanng has been duly noticed and set for June 26, 2006 in the
Council Chamber of the City of Culver City
