RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Culver City City Council (“Council”) and Culver City
Redevelopment Agency (“Agency”) award a tri-party contract to Viking Equipment
Corporation (“Viking”), for the removal of asbestos and lead-based paint materials,
and demolition of building and other site improvements at Washington Boulevard
(northwest corner of the Washington Boulevard and Centinela Avenue intersection)
for a total amount of $242,000.

MOTION:
That the Culver City Redevelopment Agency:
1) Authorize the Assistant Executive Director to prepare and execute the tri-
party agreement between the Agency, the City, and Viking Equipment
Corporation.

That the City Council:
1) Award a tri-party agreement between the Agency, the City, and Viking
Equipment Corporation in the amount of $242,000 for the demolition and
cleanup of the buildings comprising the northwest corner of Washington
Boulevard and Centinela Avenue, and 4064 Colonial Avenue; and
2) Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to negotiate change
orders for a total not-to-exceed amount of $30,000; and
