BACKGROUND

At the January 20, 2022 meeting of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), an Ad Hoc Subcommittee was formed to develop bylaws for the BPAC, and included BPAC members Michelle Weiner, Art Nomura, and Robyn Tenesap. With staff support, an initial draft was developed by the Subcommittee and submitted to the City Attorney and the City Clerk for input and editorial review. A new draft was then developed by staff incorporating the recommendations and requirements of the City Attorney and the City Clerk. This second draft is presented for review by the BPAC.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that the BPAC review the draft of the Bylaws, discuss the provisions, and make recommendations to staff regarding changes. After making such changes, staff will again submit the next draft for review by the City Attorney and the City Clerk and then return to the BPAC for final consideration and passage.
