BACKGROUND
As in prior years, each of the City’s Commissions, Boards, and Committees have an opportunity to provide input related to the City’s budget and work plans for the upcoming fiscal year. The deadline for department submission of the FY 2023-24 (07/01/2023 - 06/30/2024) work plans is February 17, 2023. The City Council is scheduled to receive individual department presentations on the current year’s work plan status and proposed FY 2023-24 work plans on March 6 - 7, 2023. The final draft of work plans will be included in the FY 2023-24 City Budget Book.
Staff will provide an overview of the FY 2023-24 work plans for the Public Works Department’s Mobility & Traffic Engineering Division, which include most of Department’s mobility-related activities.
Staff recommends that the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee review and discuss these work plan priorities and provide any comments.
FISCAL IMPACT
The proposed FY 2023-24 work plans will have a significant fiscal impact on both the City’s General Fund and CIP budgets.
