RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (1) discuss the report from the Listen and Learn Ad Hoc Subcommittee; (2) consider approval of the report's recommendations and determine next steps; and (3) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

The Listen and Learn Ad Hoc Subcommittee worked with staff to develop and disseminate a community survey in English and Spanish at Fiesta La Ballona in October 2021, and electronically on the City's website. The community survey was designed for the EHRAC to better understand how to improve serving the community and to share information regarding the functions and roles of City departments, available services, and how to access such services. The Ad Hoc subcommittee reviewed the ten (10) results with the EHRAC during the February 22, 2022 regular meeting.
