RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) review and discuss the GPU Draft Economic Development Policy Framework.
BACKGROUND
Most recently, the GPAC has received presentations on, and discussed, the following:
* August 13, 2020: Housing
* August 13, September 10, and October 8, 2020: Land use and community design
* November 12, 2020: Transportation and mobility
* December 10, 2020: Sustainability and climate change
* February 11, 2021: Parks, recreation, and open spaces
* March 13, 2021: Community health and environmental justice
* April 8 and June 10, 2021: Land use alternatives
* May 15, 2021: Mobility alternatives
* July 22, 2021: Draft Housing Element
DISCUSSION
HR&A Advisors, the GPU's economics subconsultant, will lead the GPAC through a presentation and discussion on the Goals, Policies, and Actions outlined in the draft Economic Development Policy Framework (Attachment 1), which are designed to help Culver City achieve a set of priority outcomes for economic development for the GPU.
Existing conditions will not be covered at this meeting, so GPAC Members may want to review the Socio-Economic Profile & Market Analysis Existing Conditions Report at www.pictureculvercity.com/educational-forum.
