RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission: (1) select the Chair and Vice Chair of the PRCS Commission; (2) appoint PRCS Commission Members to representative vacancies on City Committees; and, [if desired] (3) form of new Ad Hoc Subcommittee(s) and appoint of two Commission Members to newly-formed Ad Hoc Subcommittee(s).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
(1) Selection of the Chair and Vice Chair of the PRCS Commission
Due to the December 2, 2020 resignation of former Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission Chair Paula Amezola, the office of Chair is currently vacant. Traditionally the Vice Chair becomes the Chair and the Member with the most seniority becomes the Vice Chair. However, selection of Chair and Vice Chair is at the discretion of the Commission Members.
