RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) discuss budget implications from Public Safety recommendations.

BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION

At the City Council Meetings on October 12 & 13, 2020, a discussion of findings and recommendations was submitted to the City Council following various meetings with the Police Chief’s Advisory Panel, the Finance Advisory Committee, members of GARE, and other community members or organizations. Acceptance of recommendations by the City Council has been continued to a later meeting date to be determined.

At its October 24th Meeting, the FAC requested to agendize discussion of the budget implications from the proposed Public Safety recommendations, the jurisdiction of the Committee and the desire to remain part of the conversation.

FISCAL ANALYSIS

There is no fiscal impact from discussion of this item.
